My First Blog Post

I was sooo excited for my first blog post, but as I sat down to type, my fingers froze and my mind went blank. I just didn’t know what to write. I could tell my story, but I already did that in the About Page.

I can talk about my entrepreneurial journey, but that is not where it all began.
Well, then let me write about the one thing that has completely changed. me – my son. He changed me in such a profound way that I am not even the same person anymore. I am sure all the moms reading this can relate to this.

When I first saw my son (while my body was literally cut open and I was in a shock from the C-section), I somehow just forgot the shock, the shaking, the pain, and all I could see was this little thing that we created together. I have always been fascinated with how this world all came together: the big bang theory, the creation of life, the evolution, and finally the intelligent human race.
But when I saw this little human being who was a complete reflection of my husband (really??), I just couldn’t believe this magical world.

How perfectly male and female of any species are created – yin and yang, light and dark, day and night, positive and negative. And how those two opposites come together to create this beautiful world. Even now that he is almost six years old, everything about him amazes me – mainly how he is a perfect combination of me and my husband. I know all about genetics and the science behind it, but still it is just amazing to see how it all plays out.

Anyways, coming back to my son. Of course I instantly fell in love with this little bundle of joy. He not only changed me, but also made me realize my true strength. I always believed I had no patience, but man did he teach me patience… LOL.

Top 5 Lessons Learnt from my Little Boy…

  • Get up even when you fall a thousand times, and don’t give up.
  • Jumping in a muddy puddle is the most fun thing ever.
  • Instead of folding, try hiding in a pile of freshly washed laundry.
  • Don’t worry about what others would say.

And the most important lesson – never compromise in life; there’s always options, you just have to be open-minded.

In last 10 years, I had always hated every job I had. I had held various positions, but nothing made me happy. My son taught me what true happiness is. He showed me my true potential and encouraged me to follow my dreams. Dreams are not only meant for closed eyes; when you dream with open eyes, you can make them possible.

I am writing this blog today because my son made me realize that I can do so much more in life than just let it pass by me. I started my online entrepreneurial journey few months back so that I can spend more time with my son. He is my inspiration behind my new business, my new lifestyle, my website, my blog, and my search for time freedom.

To try something new and to stay persistent in doing it, you have to have a big enough WHY. And my WHY is this little boy who inspired me to dream BIG, and reach for the stars.
